The aldehyde olfactory family is considered to be extremely prestigious in the world of artistic perfumery, as its history begins more than a century ago.These unique organic compounds, called aldehydes, are able to bring volume, luminosity and vigour to the fragrances in which they are used. It was on discovering a series of photographs by Jeffrey Vanhoutte, depicting a dancer dancing in a cloud of dust, that Pierre Guillaume had the idea: the aldehydes should swirl in a soft talcum cloud!
